The Las Vegas Aces will look to bounce back from their first loss of the season when they host the Chicago Sky on Sunday.

The defending champion Aces (7-1) are coming off a 94-77 setback to the host Connecticut Sun on Thursday in a rematch of last year's WNBA Finals. Chicago (5-4) ended a two-game winning streak with a 77-62 road loss against the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday.

Las Vegas trailed 26-15 after the first quarter and never recovered against the Sun, whom the Aces beat just 48 hours earlier 90-86.

But the teams' second meeting was decidedly one-sided, as the Sun led by as many as 23 points in the second half.

Kelsey Plum scored a team-high 16 points on Thursday while A'ja Wilson added 13, with Chelsea Gray chipping in 12. Jackie Young was held to 10 points, well below her team-high 20.4 points per game.

Wilson, the league's reigning MVP, became the second-fastest player in WNBA history to reach 3,000-plus points, 1,000 rebounds and 250 blocks, accomplishing the feat in 157 games, seven more than Washington's Elena Delle Donne.

"We're starting to put the pieces together. I don't think we're playing our best basketball," Las Vegas coach Becky Hammon said.

"I'm kinda happy we're not playing our best basketball yet. We always wanna be improving and learning and building good habits. We're growing on this road trip because we have been put on the ropes a little bit."

The Sky fell apart down the stretch Friday.

After trailing 58-48 entering the fourth quarter, Chicago pulled to within 60-58 on Elizabeth Williams' jumper with 6:45 to go. But Los Angeles ended the game on a 17-2 run to secure the win.

"We have to make sure we come out with a sense of urgency," Chicago coach James Wade said. "We're not the type of team that can allow the game to come to us. We have to go get it."

Alanna Smith scored 19 points and blocked five shots. Williams added 14 points, seven rebounds and four blocks. Kahleah Copper scored 10, well below her team-high average of 17.1 per game.
