Jurie Roux's contract as SA Rugby CEO has been extended until 2024.
According to Rapport, Roux's contract expired in September but he has signed on for another long haul.
Roux has been the rugby governing body's CEO since 2010 when he landed the job as a 39-year-old.
The report added that Roux's presence will be welcomed by private equity and investment advisory firm CVC.
CVC is busy obtaining a share in the commercial arm of SA Rugby and is also involved in the decision to let the Bulls, Lions, Sharks and Stormers move to the PRO16 in the northern hemisphere.
CVC's presence also means there's a strong possibility that the Springboks will play in the Six Nations from 2024 because it's easier for the company to market the world champions as a package deal in the northern hemisphere.
This comes in contrary to Sanzaar's recent confirmation that the Boks would play in the Rugby Championship until 2030.
Meanwhile, the report in the Afrikaans newspaper added that SA Rugby's director of rugby, Rassie Erasmus and Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber's contracts were also extended until after the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
