DENVER - Starting cornerback A.J. Bouye left the field midway through the fourth quarter after safety Kareem Jackson collided with him as they combined to push Chargers WR Mike Williams out of bounds following a reception.
Bouye, who missed four games earlier this season with a shoulder injury, totaled six tackles and one pass breakup before leaving the game.
Members of the training staff assisted Bouye as he walked off the field to the locker room.
In his absence, Michael Ojemudia assumed Bouye's role as the outside cornerback with Essang Bassey playing nickel.
UPDATE: After the game Head Coach Vic Fangio said Bouye suffered a concussion. He also provided an update on tight end Nick Vannett, who also suffered an injury.
"A.J.'s got a concussion [and] Vannett's got a foot injury," Fangio said. I don't know the extent of either one. But obviously the concussion, those come in different degrees. He'll be in the concussion protocol this week and we'll see where it goes."
